Singing Devaralan Naach for AR Rahman in the movie directed by Mani Ratnam “PS: According to Sudeep Jaipurwale, I is more than a dream realised
Sudeep Jaipurwale comes from a well-known family of musicians, and his talent led legendary composer AR Rahman to hire him to perform “Devaralan Naach” in Mani Ratnam’s eagerly anticipated masterpiece Ponniyin Selvan.
Sudeep calls the song a “distinctive track, something India has never seen or heard before,” going on to explain that it was written by Mehboob and composed by AR Rahman “The music in the song is superb. It features strong vocal chants with hefty vocals that make your heart pound. The song’s imposing crescendo is what distinguishes Devaralan Naach as a unique piece of music.
Sudeep and AR Rahman started working together on music in 2017 with the release of the stunning Tappa song “Be Nazaara” from the critically acclaimed MOM starring Sridevi, Akshay Khanna, and Nawazzuddin. In the 2018 Radio Mirchi Music Awards, he was nominated for best upcoming playback singer for the song that was widely popular on social media. Since I initially listened to music, I have admired him greatly. One can only imagine how it would feel to work alongside him in his studio. The greatest blessing of my life is this. It’s fascinating to see how diverse his compositions are and how he infuses each song with charm that seems to come naturally. In addition to grandeur and a sound that is larger than life, it has an earthy quality. The vocalist has contributed his voice to a number of hit songs by equally talented performers. He sang beautifully in the song “Fitoor” from the Shamshera movie, which features Ranbir Kapoor, Arijit Singh, and Neeti Mohan. For the wildly popular song “Ghar More Pardesiya,” which has amassed 100 million views on YouTube, he created the Tarana and Sargam. He also performed the background music “Jao Jao Shyaam” for the Mimi and Bob Biswas movies.
When asked what he anticipates the crowd will say, he replies “It’s impossible not to be excited. There is a great deal of interest in seeing, closely examining, analysing, and dissecting the ground-breaking movie and its music. As a result, the expectations are enormous, just as the movie’s backdrop.” A Flexible Playback Singer learned to play music through inheritance. He is the grandson of the legendary vocalist Pt. Govind Prasad Jaipurwale and the great grandson of the legendary classical singer Guni Gandharva Pandit Laxman Prasad Jaipurwale. Sudeep was introduced to the Jaipur – Kunwar Shyam Goswami Gharana tradition of music by his father, Pt. Bhavdeep Jaipurwale.
