Following a series of court documents, Edwards claims his ex-partner, model Ayesha Howard, has not completed the necessary paperwork for her to obtain sole legal and physical custody of their daughter, Aubri, born in October 2024. While the court has granted Howard sole custody, the two sides remain locked in a dispute over various terms, according to reports from Us Weekly.

Custody Dispute Heats Up

Ayesha Howard asserts that Edwards and his legal team demanded specific terms in their custody agreement. These terms included a stipulation preventing her from speaking negatively about the NBA player or sharing photographs of their daughter publicly. Howard has maintained that she does not agree to these conditions, while Edwards’ camp claims that Howard has additional demands that complicate the situation further.

Among her demands, Howard is seeking a public apology from Edwards to be shared across all his official social media platforms. This apology would involve retracting any “false and defamatory or misleading statements” made about her during the ongoing court proceedings. Howard emphasizes the need for the apology to acknowledge her integrity and her role in their daughter’s life.

Financial Claims and Ongoing Tensions

Additionally, Edwards claims that Howard is seeking an “exorbitant” sum of $500,000 in damages. Reports suggest her financial demands may also include $55,000 annually for the rest of her life. Some sources have indicated that Edwards requested to pay all 18 years of child support upfront, totaling approximately $1.08 million, although these rumors have not been substantiated.

In July, the 24-year-old Edwards stated that he has never met his daughter. Meanwhile, Howard, 38, has alleged that Edwards expressed no desire to be involved in Aubri’s life. She contends that her financial requests stem from “substantial financial and reputational damages” incurred during this custody struggle.

As Edwards balances this situation with his status as a father to four children across different relationships, it remains unclear when or how this complicated custody battle will reach a resolution.
