Alia Bhatt’s upcoming movie ‘Darlings’ is all set to release on August 5 on the OTT platform Netflix she is also debuting as a producer of this film. The actress has co-produced the film with Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan’s Red Chillies Entertainment. The movie also stars Vijay Verma, Shefali Shah, and Roshan Matthew.
Meanwhile, the internet was taking its peak trending on boycotting the film as it was criticized by the netizens for ‘promoting’ domestic violence against men. Yet, movie trailers appear to be entertainment for some people. The story is about the lives of a quirky mother-daughter duo, who while navigating through exceptional circumstances, find courage and love as they try to find their place in the world. Badru (Alia Bhatt) hopes her unstable husband (Vijay Verma) will reform if he stops drinking. However, when his rage goes too far, she and her mum boldly, albeit clumsily, seek revenge.
