Faron Medhi, An Assam-Born Nebraska Teen, Wins Miss Teen USA 2022
The Grand Sierra Resort and Casino in Reno, Nevada, on Saturday hosted the crowning of Faron Medhi, a representative of Nebraska, as Miss Teen USA 2022. Assam is said to be Faron Medhi’s birthplace. She is the child of Guwahati-native Gautam Medhi of Assam who later shifted to United States.
Her victory marks Nebraska’s first Miss Teen USA victory since 1983. 18-year-old Faron Medhi, an Omaha native and recent high school graduate, works as a model. The other four of the five finalists were McKinley Farese of Tennessee as the fourth runner-up, Cassidy Hill of California as the second runner-up, Isabella Mosqueda of Michigan as the third runner-up, and Jenna Beckstrom of Idaho as the first runner-up.
Faron Medhi, the new Miss Teen USA, graduated from Millard North High School. Notably, she participated actively in a number of clubs at her school. She competed in the Miss Nebraska Teen USA pageant after graduating and won on March 6 in Omaha. This summer, the model is anticipated to study biology at Grand Canyon University in Phoenix, Arizona. In addition to being a model, she is a skilled dancer.
Her Pageant Update bio states that she is a hip-hop dancer and has studied breakdancing for 9 years. She teaches dance to anyone from ages 2 to 80. Faron, began modeling at the age of 12. He is represented by the mother agency, Develop Model Management in Omaha, as well as by Select Chicago, Wilhelmina Denver, and Nomad LA.
