Government is ready to answer all questions but the dignity of the house should be kept; Narendra Modi

The Parliament’s winter session opens today when the Prime Minister remarked that his government is prepared to answer all questions in parliament’s winter session, but urged the opposition to respect the house’s dignity and the Speaker.

“The government is prepared to discuss any topic and to respond to any question. We want questions in the legislature, as well as tranquility. Whatever voices are raised in opposition to the government or its policies, the Speaker’s Chair and the dignity of parliament should be preserved. We must continue to act in a manner that will inspire future generations ” before the start of a new session, Prime Minister Modi remarked.

The Prime Minister also issued a cautionary statement regarding the new Covid variant ‘Omicron,’ advising all MPs and others to exercise caution “since everyone’s health is a priority in this hour of crisis.”

The Prime Minister spoke just before the start of a session that is expected to be packed with action, with the opposition expecting to attack the government on a variety of subjects, including the repeal of the three farm laws. 

The government has chosen to introduce 36 proposals, one of which will repeal the contentious farm laws imposed last year.
