In a shocking incidence, a young girl was discovered dead in a paying guest (PG) on Sunday in the Ulubari area of Guwahati.
The incident reportedly happened at a PG on Harabala Path in the Ulubari area. Inexplicably, the deceased’s body was discovered in her apartment’s bathroom.
Sarmita Ghosh, a West Bengali native who lived in Alipurduar, has been named as the deceased. According to reports, she was studying nursing here and was 21 years old. Her death’s underlying cause is still unknown. The Paltan Bazar police station sent a squad of officers to the area in the interim.
A group of police officers from Paltan Bazar police station showed up at the spot in the interim. However, according to knowledgeable officials, it appears to be a suicide case at this point. They have taken control of the situation and started an investigation.
