Indian Oil has adopted two rhinoceros from the Assam State Zoo

Indian Oil Corporation Ltd (IOCL), whose brand ambassador is the robust rhinoceros, has adopted two more rhinos from the Assam State Zoo.

“This is in addition to the oil company’s adoption of six Rhinos in February.” “The adoption was celebrated by cake cutting, tree planting, the distribution of caps and badges to visitors, and the distribution of coffee mugs celebrating World Rhino Day,” said Indian Oil spokesperson Jayaswal Kuldip here on Thursday.
Dr S Lakshmanan, secretary, industries, commerce, and public enterprises department, Ashwini Kumar, divisional forest officer, Assam State Zoo and Botanical Garden, DP Vidyarthi (CGM-LPG), K Mohan (GM-IB), and Utpal Chowdhury (GM-HR) from Indian Oil attended the ceremony.

Vidyarthi presented the zoo with a check for Rs 2 lakhs.

“Assam possesses the world’s highest density of rhinos, but poaching and agricultural development have drastically diminished its population.” However, its population has grown as a result of government and non-governmental organisations such as Indian Oil,” Kuldip explained.

“In September of last year, Indian Oil adopted the one-horned rhino as its mascot. The Great Indian one-horned rhino is a marvel of strength, power, and agility. More importantly, its identity is founded in its Indianness, making it the ideal narrator for the Indian Oil brand. This rhino is also an important cog in the ecology to which it belongs, and its continuous well-being is necessary for the ecological chain’s survival.”

“Indian Oil has blended its responsibilities towards environment and ecology with its commercial operations, serving the energy demands of millions of people every day across the country,” stated IOCL chairman SM Vaidya. We introduced the rhino as our mascot in September of last year, and it symbolises Indian Oil’s commitment to preserving India’s biodiversity. We are committed to increasing awareness in order to conserve India’s ecological pearl.”
