What could be more precious for a mother than seeing their own names on their boys’ international level riders’ jerseys? Lucknow Super Giants have dominated the Indian Premier League (IPL), and their next match, against Kolkata Knight Riders, will be played at the MCA Stadium in Pune on Saturday.
On Mother’s Day, all of the Lucknow players will wear jerseys with their mothers’ names on them as a tribute of their affection. Because Mother’s Day is on May 8, the newly formed IPL franchises will commemorate the occasion on their matchday.
While LSG’s regular shirts are blue, their special’mother’s day’ kit is grey, with the names of the players’ mothers inscribed in orange on the back.
“Maa, this one’s for you. That’s how you celebrate Mother’s Day like a #SuperGiant!” The franchise also released an 18-second video showing their unique shirts.
While numerous teams, including as Royal Challengers Bangalore and Delhi Capitals, have worn unique jerseys for specific matches, this will be the first time in IPL history that a team will wear jerseys with the names of the players’ mothers on them.
