Monkeypox Knocks UP; Samples of 5 Year Old Taken For Testing: CMO Ghaziabad

The chief medical officer (CMO) of Ghaziabad told news agency ANI that a 5-year-old girl’s sample was taken for monkeypox testing. He explained that it was a preventative measure because she had itchy and rashes all over her body.

He was reported by ANI as saying, “She has no other health difficulties and neither she nor any of her close contacts have traveled abroad in the last month.”

Monkeypox symptoms usually start with a flu-like illness and lymph node swelling, followed by a rash on the face and body. People who have been bitten by rodents or small animals have been afflicted with the disease, which is endemic in regions of Africa. It normally does not spread easily among people.
