According to ANI, NCP leader Nawab Malik and the Samajwadi Party (SP) would contest in Uttar Pradesh’s next state assembly elections.
“In Uttar Pradesh, we’ve agreed to run alongside the Samajwadi Party.” One seat has been reserved, and other seats are being discussed. “The alliance that is developing in Uttar Pradesh would have our backing,” he remarked.
The Yogi government in Uttar Pradesh will have a tough electoral battle, as seven MLAs have recently deserted the party. It has thrown the BJP for a loop.
The Shiv Sena is a member of Maharashtra’s ruling coalition, which also comprises the Nationalist Congress Party and the Congress Party.
However, on Tuesday Sharad Pawar, the president of the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), said that his party would run in the next Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections as part of a Samajwadi Party-led coalition. In addition, he stated that 13 members of Uttar Pradesh’s Legislative Assembly will join the Samajwadi Party.
Pawar told reporters that the people of Uttar Pradesh want parivartan (change) in the northern state and that it will happen. He also stated that the NCP will run in the upcoming Assembly elections in Goa and Manipur. He stated that the NCP will have an “understanding” with the Congress in Manipur and that it is in negotiations with both the Congress and the Trinamool Congress in Goa.
The NCP chief said his party will also contest elections in Manipur. “The NCP will contest five seats in Manipur with the Congress,” he said.
