According to a press release, Reliance Jio has announced a complimentary four-day unlimited plan for its customers in the natural-disaster-affected states of the North East, which includes unlimited free calls within its network, data services up to 1.5 GB per day, and 100 SMS per day for a period of four days.
“During the last few days, your service experience was interrupted due to harsh weather conditions,” Jio wrote in an email to clients in Meghalaya, Mizoram, Manipur, and Arunachal Pradesh. We’ve applied a FREE 4-DAY UNLIMITED PLAN to your phone number as a goodwill gesture.”
The four-day plan comes with 1.5 GB of high-speed data, unlimited talk, and 100 SMS each day. Arunachal Pradesh, Mizoram, Meghalaya, and Manipur are the states that are included in this campaign.
The new proposal is part of a regional relief effort. The Indian telecom behemoth will allow users to make unlimited calls for four days, allowing them to stay in touch with family and friends.
Customers in Assam and the Northeast, according to Jio, will be eligible for free calls to any network and data service for the next four days, beginning Friday (May 20).
