NYPD Chief of Patrol Jeffrey Maddrey said on destroying 100 illegal vehicles, “Dirt bikes were not made for the streets of New York City. Today we crushed 100 of these bikes & we will continue to seize these bikes all summer long. These dangerous and illegal vehicles will stay off our city’s streets”.
For the sake of public safety police commissioner, Keechant Sewell said the NYPD continues to seize illegal bikes.
“The use of these vehicles puts all New Yorkers at risk, other drivers, passengers, pedestrians, also those operating the illegal bikes themselves,” Sewell said.
