Five people are killed when a fast automobile hits an ambulance on the Bandra-Worli Sea Link in Mumbai
On the Bandra-Worli sea link in Mumbai, a speeding car crashed into a crash site, leaving five people dead and 13 injured. The collision happened at roughly three in the morning between poles 76 and 78 on the southbound section of the sea link bridge, which links Worli in south Mumbai with Bandra in the western suburbs.
“The Bandra Worli Sea Link accident on the road resulted in injuries to a total of 13 people. 8 individuals are undergoing treatment, 5 of whom passed away “ANI quoted Mumbai Police as saying.
After learning of the situation, police hurried to the scene, and now relief and rescue efforts are under way. Locals assisted the police as they transported the injured to the hospital.
Worli to Bandra Road has been blocked down.
In the meantime, Prime Minister Narendra Modi sent his sympathies to the victims’ families.
Saddened by the deaths caused by a collision on Mumbai’s Bandra-Worli Sea Link. Condolences to the families of the deceased. I’m hoping for a quick recovery for everyone who was hurt,” the PMO office said.
Maharashtra’s chief minister, Eknath Shinde, stated on Twitter, “The injured are receiving immediate medical attention in an effort to improve their health. There is currently an ongoing investigation into the accident, and additional steps will be taken.”
