Police Man Charged Under POSCO Act In Uttar Pradesh

Despicable crime is done by one who protects against doing crime, that is what exactly happened in Uttar Pradesh’s Lalitpura police station. A 13-year-old rape survivor came to a complaint filed to the police station with her relative, instead of doing his duty the girl was again raped by the police in charge.

The teen was allegedly gang-raped by four men, following which she went to the police station to file a complaint along with a relative. Station House Officer Tilakdhari Saroj who is the accused official has been suspended and filed a criminal case against him.

Three other accused have been arrested and somehow the police who raped the 13-year-old managed to flee and three police teams are looking for him, according to police officers in Lalitpur.

The Father of a girl filed an FIR on Tuesday stating that she was enticed by four men and abducted to Bhopal on April 22, where they raped her for four days. The accused then brought her back to her village and allegedly dropped her at the concerned police station before escaping. She was called to the police station the next day for recording her statement. The next day, the accused official took the girl inside a room in the police station in the presence of her aunt and raped her. The accused police station in-charge then handed over the girl to her aunt. Her aunt has also listed in the accused FIR registration.

“The SHO is suspended and he is a named criminal so we have formed teams to arrest him. An NGO brought the girl to my office. She had given them the details. After I was informed of it, I ensured that a case was filed,” said Lalitpur police chief Nikhil Pathak in a statement.

The official and three men who have been arrested were charged under the stringent POCSO (Protection of Children from Sexual Offences) Act, to rape the minor girl, Lalitpur police said
