Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskyy awarded state honors to Patron for detecting some 200 explosive devices. Ukraine’s famous mine sniffing dog Patron and his owner received a reward to recognize their dedication to service since Russia’s invasion with a medal on Sunday.
As a token of appreciation, the Jack Russell terrier has been credited with detecting more than 200 explosives and preventing their detonation since the start of the war on Feb. He quickly became a canine symbol of Ukrainian patriotism.
