A six-year-old boy fell into the deep borewell shaft, in Behrampur village, Punjab

Early this morning while escaping from the stray dogs, a six-year-old boy fell into the deep borewell shaft, in Behrampur village, Punjab.

The incident took place in Behrampur village near Garhdiwala, when a six-year-old boy was playing in a field and climbed a borewell shaft when some stray dogs started chasing him, he fell off to a 100-feet approximately deep borewell sharf chasing by the stray dog, and a rescue operation is underway, said the police.

According to the villagers the borewell shaft was covered with a jute bag which could not withstand the weight of the boy resulting him to fall into the well. The family of the boy belongs to a migrant labourers.

The incident reach out to the Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, in which he announcement of rescue team are on their way along with the District Administration as well as a local MLA and he is keep in touch with them over the incid.

“A 6-year-old boy Hrithik fell into a borewell in Hoshiarpur. District administration and local MLA were there and rescue operation is underway. I am in constant touch with the administration,” said Mann in a tweet.
