Video of Mizoram CM Zoramthanga’s daughter assaulting a doctor goes viral: Watch

Milari Chhangte, daughter of the Chief Minister of Mizoram, was allegedly furious when the dermatologist with a practise in the state capital Aizawl declined to meet her without an appointment.

According to accounts, the incident took place on Wednesday when Milari Chhangte was told to make an appointment with the dermatologist before visiting the clinic. Before showing up at the clinic for a consultation, the doctor, who went by the name Dr. Zonunasanga, had requested the daughter of the Chief Minister make an appointment.

The video showed Milari approaching the physician through a door and hitting him in the face. A man intervenes and holds her hands to control her actions. As he walks her up the stairs and through the door, he continues to hold her hands. As she walks down the steps, she shouts.

Dr. Zonunasanga’s Zonundermacare clinic is one of the most well-liked private skin clinics in Aizawl, the city of Mizoram.
About two days ago, the video became viral, and since then, the Chief Minister and members of his family have faced backlash on social media.

According to reports, about 800 doctors from the IMA-Mizoram chapter mounted a rally on Saturday to denounce the alleged assault. Doctors came to work wearing black badges as part of a protest organized by the Indian Medical Association (IMA) chapter in Mizoram.
The Mizoram chief minister Zoramthanga apologised in front of the public on Saturday after the social media footage went viral. The chief minister apologised and begged for the public’s and doctor’s pardon.
