A large explosion in a gas pipeline at the Tata steel mill in Jamshedpur, Jharkhand, injured three persons, according to the firm. The incident happened around 10:20 a.m., and the situation is currently under control, according to reports.
“We reported an incidence of blasting sound in a non-operational coke plant unit that is undergoing a deconstruction process at our Jamshedpur Works this morning,” Tata Steel said on Twitter.
“Three contract employees were treated for minor injuries and given first aid. Two of them were released after receiving first aid, but one is still being monitored by doctors “In a series of tweets, it added.
Five fire tenders have been rushed to the spot. The fire is currently under control, the company informed adding, “an investigation of the cause is underway.”
