IndiGo co-pilot paid tribute to and thanked his mother, who also happens to be his coworker, on the occasion of Mother’s Day. The son, who was scheduled to travel the same flight, made the event extra special by gifting her a bouquet of flowers and delivering an emotional speech for his pilot mother, in front of the other passengers.
It is immensely heartwarming for a mother to see her children thrive in their careers, but it would be much more emotionally rewarding if her child was her successful coworker.
IndiGo’s official Facebook account posted the video in honor of Mother’s Day on Sunday.
The captain is seen approaching the plane with a bouquet in his hand and walking toward the co-pilot in this viral video. He is seen conversing to passengers and then begins to give a statement about how he used to fly with his mother as a passenger for the past 24 years, but that he is now extremely delighted to be flying with her as a co-pilot. “Thank you so much for everything you’ve done for me and for always being there for me,” he said.
Netizens have gone ‘aww’ over this touching video. With flowers, a hug, and a heartfelt speech, he honored his mother, who is also his co-pilot on the journey.
