A video of a woman massaging a police officer in Bihar’s Saharsa district went viral, prompting the officer’s suspension. According to IANS, after a video showing the officer-in-charge of a police post in Saharsa district became popular on social media, Saharsa Superintendent of Police Lipi Singh took notice of the situation and immediately suspended the officer, Shashi Bhushan Sinha.
Sinha, the officer in the video, was assigned to Darhar police post, which is part of the Nauhatta police station in the district, as a Sub-Inspector and in-charge. According to reports, the woman went to the Darhar police station to ask Sinha to let her son out of jail.

In the video, Sinha can also be heard telling a lawyer that the woman is destitute and unable to pay for her son’s release. According to IANS, Sinha asks the lawyer to negotiate for the woman’s son’s bail while giving him a massage. In addition, the police officer informed the lawyer that he would give him Rs 10,000.
