World Giant bottle of Whiskey sold for $1.4 million

The world Giant whiskey bottle height of 5 feet 11 inches was sold for $1.4 million to an International collector on Wednesday. In 2021 September the bottle was awarded the Guinness World Record.

However, the Giant Whiskey bottle of $1.4 million was not exactly the world record for a bottle of liquor. In 1986 after 60 years of maturation, a standard-sized bottle of Macallan was sold for $1.5 million in November 2018.

The Whiskey project founder Daniel Monk says it was created by Thailand-based investment company Fah Mai and London-based firm Rosewin Holdings. The 5 feet 11 inches Whiskey bottle holds 311 liters equal to 444 bottles as much as 5,287 Whiskey sours with 2 units of weight whiskey each.

Daniel Monk says it was an adventure for him and his team as well. He was inspired by his father, ”passion for exploration, adventure” says auction house, Lyon and Turnbull. And 11 explorers, such as Ranulph Fiennes and Robin Knox-Johnston are featured on the bottle’s label.

Daniel Monk says, he was trying to communicate with the explorer on board so that it could fill the largest bottle of Scotch Whisky since it was a COVID-19 lockdown period. He added together we achieved the dream.

The auction house says the amount will be donated to several charities, including Marie Curie and Campaign Against Living Miserably (CALM).
