World's dirtiest man, 94, passes away after taking his first bath in more than 60 years.

An Iranian recluse who was known as the "dirtiest man in the world" for going more than 50 years without taking a shower died at the age of 94. Amou Haji has not had a bath in more than 60 years because he was terrified of the water. According to The Guardian, he passed away on October 23 (Sunday) in the village of Dejgah in the province of Fars in southern Iran.

Haji, who was unmarried, shied away from showering for fear of "becoming sick," according to IRNA News. But a few months ago, he was made to wash for the first time by the locals. Many images of Haji are being posted on social media, and internet users are speculating as to whether his "non-bathing" record is legitimate.

Haji used to reside in an open brick hut, and he was adamant about avoiding taking a bath with water or soap because of some "emotional setbacks in his adolescence."

According to a report in the Tehran Times, Haji also smoked a pipe filled with animal waste, ate roadkill, and believed that cleanliness would make him sick. Additionally, he can be seen smoking multiple cigarettes at once in certain social media photos.A little documentary named "The Strange Life of Amou Haji" was developed in 2013 to describe his life because of his exceptional track record.
