Six carriages of the Lokmanya Tilak Terminus (Kurla) – Jaynagar Pawan Express derailed between Lahavit and Deolali Railway Station in Nashik, killing one person and injuring one. On Sunday, about 3.10 p.m., the incident occurred.
Trains from Mumbai to Bhusawal have been disrupted as a result of the accident, although traffic on the other side has remained unaffected.
Nashik’s resident deputy collector, Bhagwat Doifode, said he had requested the Nashik tahsildar and the Nashik sub-divisional officer to undertake rescue and relief plans.
