The cost of 19 kilogramme commercial cooking gas has risen by Rs250 per cylinder today. As a result of the tariff hike, a 19kg commercial cylinder would now cost Rs2253 as of today. Domestic gas cylinder prices have not increased, according to an ANI report. The price of a 19-kg LPG cylinder has increased by Rs346/cylinder in the last two months. On March 1, the price of a 19 kilogramme commercial cylinder was raised by Rs105, and then it was decreased by Rs9 on March 22.
Domestic LPG cylinder prices were also increased by Rs 50 on March 22, and a 14.2 kg non-subsidised LPG cylinder now costs Rs 949.50 in Delhi.
Meanwhile, petrol and diesel prices have risen nine times in the last 11 days, amounting to a total increase of Rs 6.4 per litre, while cooking gas LPG costs have also risen by Rs 50 per cylinder. Petrol prices have now surpassed the century threshold in nearly all of the country’s states. Inflation will be fueled even more by the new gas price hike. Today’s fuel prices have remained unchanged.
On the tail of a jump in global energy prices, the government more than quadrupled the price of natural gas, which is used to generate electricity, make fertilisers, convert into CNG, and piped into residential kitchens for cooking.
