3 minors are among the 9 people killed by a wall collapse in Lucknow’s rainstorm
Nine people, including three children, were killed when the wall of an unfinished house collapsed in Lucknow during a continuous downpour. Additionally, two persons were injured. Teams were dispatched to the scene of the collision by the involved officials.
For the past three days, there has been intense rain in the capital of Uttar Pradesh. The city has certain areas that are flooded.
The Dilkusha Colony in the Cantt region reported the incident that occurred on Friday. Yogi Adityanath, the chief minister, expressed sorrow over the incident and provided a compensation of 4 lakh for the families of those who killed. Additionally, he asked the police and district magistrate to go to the scene of the collision. The emergency fund would be used to provide aid to the impacted households.
Dr. Roshan Jacob, the divisional commissioner of Lucknow, was spotted assessing the situation. The official also advised all district residents to call the toll-free numbers 1533 and 9151055671/9151055672/9151055673 “if there is a likelihood of any mishap or any accident has taken place anywhere due to heavy rain in Lucknow city.”
