The Philadelphia Fire Department lost one of its own members in a building collapse that trapped four other firefighters and a building inspector.
Lt. Sean Williamson, a 27-year veteran of the Philadelphia Fire Department, was killed in a Fairhill building collapse on Saturday morning when he was with his colleagues in the line of duty. Several others were trapped, and many of them were rescued and taken to hospitals, the department said.

The incident occurred when the fire was reported just before 2 a.m. Saturday in the building in North Philadelphia, eight occupants were safely evacuated and the fire had been declared under control, officials said. At 3:24 a.m., the building collapsed, Deputy Fire Commissioner Craig Murphy said.
