A man name Kamal Malhotra (40 years old) also called Chinu who used to work as a laborer but is currently employed, is a resident of Jahangirpuri, allegedly raped a six-month-old girl and along with his friend Raj known as Raju raped the infant’s 14-year-old intellectually disabled sister in northwest Delhi’s Samaypur Badli area.
The police arrested Kamal Malhotra a resident of Jahangirpuri and however, accused Raju managed to escape but sooner or later he will be arrested.
The complainant reported to police that the mother of these two girls who are 14 years old was intellectually disabled, and the other was six months old and she did not find them as she returned home after work on Friday evening. As to the police reports she heard the screaming in the neighborhood and found Chinu and Raju allegedly raping her daughters. Having seen the woman caught red-handed they fled from the spot. And the girls have been rushed to the hospital for treatment. Thereafter, an FIR was registered and an investigation taken up, by the police.
On Saturday, Chinu was found at a park near the Samaypur Badli Metro station. The police asked him to surrender but instead, he took out a pistol and fired at them. In retaliatory firing, a bullet hit him on a leg, following which he was arrested, Deputy Commissioner of Police (outer north) Brijendra Kumar Yadav said.
A country-made pistol, a live cartridge, and an empty cartridge were recovered, the police said, adding efforts to catch Raju were underway.
