"India to take the leadership of the G20": PM Modi unveils India's G20 logo, theme and website

India's G20 presidency's logo, theme, and website were presented by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday. As of December 1, 2022, India will be the G20's host nation.

Addressing the event virtually, the prime minister congratulated the countrymen on the historic occasion of India’s G20 presidency. “‘Vasudhaiv Kutumbakam’ is the signature of India’s compassion to the world. The lotus portrays the cultural heritage and faith of India in bringing the world together,” he said.

In his remarks, he noted that "India is now about to take the leadership of the G20; it's a matter of great opportunity for India in its 75th year of Independence," adding that it is a source of pride for all Indians and will bring greater glory for all of the residents of the country"

The G20 presidency presents India with a special chance to contribute to the global agenda on urgent problems of international concern, the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) stated on Monday.

Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Japan, Republic of Korea, Mexico, Russia, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Turkey, United Kingdom, United States, and the European Union are all members of the G20. Modi is scheduled to attend the G20 conference, which will be held in Bali on November 15 and 16.

The G20 is the top platform for worldwide economic cooperation, encompassing over two-thirds of the world's population, over 75% of global trade, and a little over 85% of the world's GDP.
