Ayman al-Zawahiri, the leader of the Islamic terror group Al-Qaeda, returned in a nine-minute video broadcast by As-Sahab media on Tuesday, after being rumoured to be dead in 2020.
Al-official Qaeda’s media wing is known as As-Sahab. SITE Intelligence, an American non-governmental group that analyses white supremacist and jihadist online activities, confirmed Zawahiri’s video.
In the film titled ‘the Noble Woman of India,’ al-Zawahiri addressed the hijab controversy that began in Karnataka and lauded Bibi Muskan Zainab Khan, a college girl from Udupi who was noted for chanting ‘Allahu Akbar’ slogans to confront a group of guys who were chanting ‘Jai Shree Ram.’ Muskan Khan is a student of Mandya’s PES College of Arts, Science, and Commerce.
Abdul Sukoor, the leader of the PFI, is her father. Zeeshan Siddique, a Maharashtra Congress MLA, visited her home in Mandya and presented her with an iPhone and a smartwatch after she became renowned for the video in which she confronted a group of youngsters by chanting ‘Allahu Akbar’ shouts.
In the meantime, the Islamic group Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind has offered Muskan Khan a cash reward of Rs 5 lakh. Another leader, Tahera Shaikh Rasheed, the mayor of Malegaon Municipal Corporation, said that Muskan Khan will be honoured by having his ‘Urdu Ghar’ named after her.
