Arvind Kejriwal, the leader of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), promised on Monday that his party will provide every young person in Gujarat a job.
With barely three months to go for the Assembly elections, Kejriwal is prepared to face off against the BJP in the home state of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah.
If his party wins the Gujarat assembly elections later this year, Kejriwal vowed to provide a monthly jobless payment of Rs3,000 per month.
“Every unemployed youth in Gujarat would be given a job by the Aam Aadmi Party. If elected to power, the party will grant unemployed people a monthly payment of 3,000. While speaking to a crowd in Veraval town of Gir Somnath district, Kejriwal promised that the AAP’s Gujarat government would offer 10 lakh government employment to the state’s young.
After promising free electricity up to 300 units per month if elected in the BJP-ruled state, Kejriwal made a new election pledge just days ago.
The chief minister of Delhi declared that his party will ensure that every unemployed youth finds employment within the next five years if the AAP wins a government in Gujarat.
Every unemployed youth would receive 3000 per month in unemployment benefits until we give them jobs, he announced.
The AAP National Convenor said, “In my guarantee on employment, there are five guarantees. First, every youth will be employed within five years. You may say that Kejriwal has also come to fool us because this is not possible. I have already done that in Delhi by giving employment to 12 lakh youth in the past five years. I know how to generate employment because my intentions are clear and I am well-educated.
Together with all of my ministers, I have now committed to creating 2lakh extra employment in Delhi over the next five years. Second, we will provide a 3,000 monthly allowance to a jobless young person until they find employment. This has been done with the understanding that creating jobs takes time and cannot be done immediately after assuming power.
