China called the United States the “main instigator” of the war in Ukraine, Reuters reports. On Wednesday, 10 August, China’s ambassador to Russia, Zhang Hanhui, accused the US of cornering Russia with NATO expansion. In addition, the US is providing support for troops trying to align Ukraine with the European Union against Russia.
“Being the initiator and the main instigator” of the Ukrainian crisis, Washington, introducing unprecedented and comprehensive sanctions against Russia, continues to supply Ukraine with weapons and military equipment. The ultimate goal of the U.S. is to deprive and discourage Russia with a prolonged war and a cudgel of sanctions,” Zhang said.
China won’t allow the US to live “according to the laws of the jungle” in international relations, said Zhang Hanhui. “The US faces a crushing defeat if they interfere with China’s domestic goals” he added.
