Attack on BJP leader Kirit Somaiya, Mumbai police arrested formal mayor Vishwanath Mahadeshwar including three others for attacking the BJP leader.
The attack took place on Saturday when he visited Amravati MP Navneet Rana and her husband who is MLA Ravi Rana at the Khar police station after they have been arrested over the Hanuman Chalisa row.
On the arrest along with the three accused the formal Mumbai mayor Vishwanath Mahadeshwar was also included in the connection of attacking BJP leader Kriti Somaiya. Vishwanath mahadeshwar was arrested after two days of attacking the BJP leader. The vice president of the BJP’s Maharashtra unit accused the Shiv Sena and its people of trying to kill him in the presence of Mumbai Police on Saturday. He said she was injured after Shiv Sena pelted stones at his car outside the Khar police station in Mumbai when he visited the Amravati PM Navneet Rana and husband MLA Ravi Rana after they have been arrested by the Mumbai police over Hanuman Chalisa. He added, that in presence of 50 police in the compound at Khar police station 100 Shivsena’s “Gunda” assaulted him with stones and wanted to kill him.
However, the formal Mayor is on bail due to his medical condition.
