Heightening the cases of covid in China leads to extending the policy of work from home on Monday, in concerns of spreading the virus throughout Beijing.
On Monday, Beijing has been reported 99 Covid-19 cases Sunday, which was up from a previous day-to-day average of around 50, hoisting the total caseload over 1,400 in the ongoing month-long outbreak.
There has been no lockdown in Beijing however, general restrictions like the closure of public transport, taxi services, and public venues in many areas along with the ban on in-restaurant dining means that the majority of residents have remained mostly homebound as it should be to stop the growing virus spreading.
To halt the virus from spreading like in Shanghai, which has registered hundreds of thousands of Covid-19 causes since March with more than 560 deaths by the deadly virus outburst. The health authorities suggest the residents of five of the city’s 16 districts have asked to work from home and avoid mass gatherings.
The Beijing municipal government said the workers should test PCR taken within 48 hours and result should test negative then allow to go to work.
Among the residential communities of five districts have been requested restrictions to non- residents not to enter the compounds which imply courier companies have been asked to gather at designated places outside the compound to make the deliveries.
However the Chinese financial intersection of Shanghai, meanwhile, reported 558 cases on Sunday, down from 622 on Saturday with no new infections found outside of government quarantine, the national health commission (NHC) said on Monday.
