According to the Daily Mail, Belarussian President Alexander Lukashenko appears to have intimated that Vladimir Putin’s forces are planning an invasion of Moldova.
Standing in front of a battle map that appears to show a planned invasion from southern Ukraine into its neighbouring neighbour, Putin’s war-mongering sidekick addressed security officers on Wednesday.
The map also depicted projected Russian troop battle plans across the country.
According to the Daily Mail, it revealed Russian lines of attack heading into Ukraine, some of which have manifested in the first few days of the invasion, such as forces storming into Kyiv from the north and Kherson from Crimea.
They also displayed many strikes that have yet to take place, including one that appeared to point from the port city of Odessa to Moldova, implying that Russia intends to send troops into Ukraine’s neighbour.
On the massive map of Eastern Europe, an inset map of the United States and Canada appeared, but nothing in the North American region was highlighted.
Lukashenko’s battle map gave further validity to claims that Belarus was intending to send its own troops to Ukraine to bolster Russia’s invasion, which had escalated in violence as the country struggled to gain major military wins.
