Bihar: Raids on several locations, cash in crore recovered including jewellery and property documents

To take action against Dhankuber officials who have amassed illicit properties, the monitoring agency is working constantly. At Sanjay Rai’s home in Roopaspur, Patna, who works as an executive engineer for the rural works department and is based in Kishanganj, raids were carried out on Saturday. Here, a cash stash of almost one crore rupees was discovered. The items discovered include jewellery and land documents. The raids have been underway since 10:30 am, according to DSP Sujit Kumar, who is in charge. Raids are also being carried out in Kishanganj, besides Patna.

Raids are still going on. The complete amount is yet unknown.

The monitoring team seized a sum totalling more than 1.5 crores after conducting a raid in Kishanganj. Along with cash, significant documents have been found. The team from the monitoring department is conducting raids at numerous locations, including the Executive Engineer’s home in Line Mohalla and the Rural Works Department’s headquarters in Ruidhasa.

The department’s cashier Khurram Sultan’s home is also the target of raids at the same time. In Kishanganj, three locations are the subject of raids, according to surveillance DSP. Raids are taking place in two locations in Patna as well. Currently, he claimed, raids are taking place. The amount of illicit funds they have stashed won’t be known until the raid is over.
