Covid-19 cases in Delhi rose by almost 50% since Tuesday, 299 new cases reported

Once again, Covid-19 appears to be a source of concern . In the previous 24 hours, Delhi has recorded 299 new Covid-19 infections, up nearly 50% from Tuesday’s 202 illnesses. While no deaths have been documented as a result of the sickness, the daily positive rate has increased to 2.9 percent.

Even though doctors on Tuesday acknowledged it was “not a panic situation” because the daily case count was still low, the Covid-19 positive rate in Delhi had grown from 0.5 percent to 2.70 percent in a week, doctors warned against letting their guard down. Because China is severely impacted by the new version, India must take all necessary precautions to mitigate its impact.

Arvind Kejriwal, the Delhi chief minister, said on Tuesday that his government was keeping a careful eye on the Covid situation in the capital and that there was no need to fear at this time.

He stated that if the need arises, all required procedures will be implemented. On Monday, Delhi recorded a positive rate of 2.70 percent, the highest in two months, raising concerns about Covid’s revival in the city.

With an increase in daily cases and a significant increase in the positivity rate in recent days, Delhi health minister Satyendar Jain said on Monday that the city government was keeping a close eye on the Covid-19 situation and that there was no need to be concerned until a new variant of concern was discovered.
