A 16-year-old girl was allegedly raped and died on the borders of Telangana’s Vikarabad district in a horrifying event. The victim, a resident of Vikarabad’s Angadi Chentapally hamlet, went missing on Sunday afternoon, according to the police. The villagers discovered the deceased’s body in a remote location.
The young girl’s body was discovered with head injuries. Following an investigation at the scene, police began evaluating it as a possible rape case. The young girl’s body was discovered in the bushes with torn garments, and an autopsy revealed that she had been raped and then murdered. Vikarabad police have opened a rape and murder investigation.
According to police officers on the scene, the youngster left home at 5.30 a.m. after telling her family that she needed to attend to nature’s call and did not return. Villagers discovered the girl’s body at 6.45 a.m., with bleeding injuries on her head, according to the police.
A few people were spotted following the girl, according to the villagers, and the police have called in the dog squad to investigate. The police further stated that a special team led by the DSP has been created to probe the incident that occurred near the Hyderabad road in the village.
