After heavy rain, some Delhi neighbourhoods are flooded; further showers are likely

On Saturday, Delhi was pummelling by torrential rain, and various districts reported waterlogging, which caused traffic bottlenecks all throughout the city.
More rain is expected in the city and its surrounding areas today, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD).

According to officials, the nonstop rain has caused the temperature to drop by several degrees, and the city’s air quality has also improved.

According to the weather service, the amount of rain is predicted to lessen starting on Monday.

Even outside of peak hours, there were reports of traffic jams in the city’s Dhaula Kuan, Najafgarh, Naraina, Ring Road, and Teen Murti Marg.

A number of locations experienced waterlogging, including Anand Vihar, Wazirabad, the road between INA and AIIMS, Mehrauli-Badarpur Road, Tughlakabad, Sangam Vihar, Kirari, and Rohtak Road.

Residents are being urged by the traffic police to schedule their travel accordingly in order to minimise inconvenience.
