FIFA World Cup reporter robbed on air, shocked by police response: Report
Authorities questioned her about the punishment they wanted to be meted out to the thief after she reported the incident to the neighbourhood police.

According to a report, an Argentine TV reporter who was robbed during the opening days of the 2022 World Cup was surprised by the Qatari police's response. On Sunday night, the first game of the tournament pitted Qatar against Ecuador.
Argentine journalist Dominique Metzger was making a live broadcast prior to the first game when The Mirror reported that things from her handbag were stolen.
Authorities questioned her about the punishment they wanted to be meted out to the thief after she reported the incident to the neighbourhood police.
"The cultural contrasts started when I arrived at the station. "We have cutting-edge cameras all everywhere, and we are going to find him [the thief] with face detection," the policewoman claimed to me. When we locate him, what should the legal system do? she said.
She was perplexed by the statement.
"What sort of justice do you seek? Which verdict do you want us to pass on him? Do you favour giving him a five-year prison term? Do you favour his deportation? " the police stated to her.
