Assam: Shootout at Panjabari in Guwahati, distributor of Purabi dairy sustains bullet injury
The Panjabari neighbourhood in Guwahati, Assam, was the scene of a horrifying shooting on Monday, when thugs fired in broad daylight. The attackers chose Ranjit Bora, the distributor of Purabi Dairy, as their target.
Ranjit Bora was hospitalised after suffering a head injury from a gunshot. His visit to the bank to deposit money is said to be when the incident occurred.
After shooting at Bora, the criminals took Rs 5 lakhs and ran away from the scene. Three miscreants were allegedly involved in the incident, according to eyewitnesses. Bora died from his wounds while receiving treatment at Gauhati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH).
