Flight Attendant Discovers a Severed Snake Head in an Airline Meal in the Middle of the Flight

Strangely, a flight attendant on a Turkish airline was shocked to discover a severed snake head in her meal. The event is said to have happened on a SunExpress flight on July 21 travelling from Ankara, Turkey to Düsseldorf, Germany. As reported by the Independent, which cited the aviation blog One Mile at a Time, a member of the cabin crew stated that while eating lunch, they saw a small snake’s head masked amid the potatoes and veggies.

Following this occurrence, the airline released a statement in which it reaffirmed that giving both customers and employees the best possible service is their main priority. According to the statement, which was quoted by Independent, “With more than 30 years of experience in the aviation industry, it is our top priority that the services we provide to our guests on our aircraft are of the highest quality and that both our guests and employees have a comfortable and safe flight experience.”

Sancak Inflight, the caterer, also released a statement in which they refuted the accusations made against them.

Since then, the contract between the airline and the in issue food supplier has been suspended, and an investigation has also been launched.

According to the catering company, “none of the foreign objects that were purportedly in the dish when cooking” were used. Given that the meal is cooked at high temperatures and it would be absurd to find a fresh snake head in it, Sancak Inflight claimed that the “foreign object” was added after the dish was prepared.
