India’s $5 trillion GDP would be mostly fueled by the Northeast, according to President Droupadi Murmu
According to India’s President Droupadi Murmu, the country now boasts the fifth-largest economy in the world. By 2025, India’s GDP will be worth $5 trillion, with a large portion of that coming from the North Eastern Region, which includes Tripura. On Wednesday, Murmu opened the Tripura State Judicial Academy and set the cornerstone for the Tripura National Law University in Narsingarh, Agartala.
The President told the crowd gathered at Rabindra Satabarshiki Bhawan that the initiatives launched today will improve Tripura’s connectivity, education, judicial system, and legislature, as well as the state’s rich cultural heritage.
The President expressed her happiness at laying the cornerstone of the National Law University, Tripura. According to her, NLUs have contributed significantly to the field of legal education during the past three decades. The legal profession has expanded in numerous ways during the past few decades along with the expansion of the economy. She expressed optimism that NLU Tripura will become a significant hub for legal education not just in the Northeast but also throughout the nation.The President claimed that Indian youngsters have created a distinctive identity in the sphere of information technology worldwide. She was sure that the Indian Institute of Information Technology’s permanent campus in Agartala will establish new standards for information technology. The prosperity of the country and the advancement of our youth, according to the President, depend on having a comprehensive educational system. We should place more focus on primary education in addition to higher education. She was pleased to learn about the launch of “Vidya-Jyoti Mission 100” by the Ministry of Development of the North Eastern Region in collaboration with the State Government of Tripura, which will see 100 existing higher secondary schools transformed into high-quality educational institutions with cutting-edge amenities.
The North-Eastern Region, according to the President, has enormous development potential. Today, new projects for highways, railways, airways, and canals are giving the region’s development a new boost.

The first special connection train will depart from Guwahati on October 14 with the President of India as the steward. Assam, Meghalaya, and Nagaland are the three northeastern states that will be connected by this new service.
