After the remnants of Hurricane Agatha brought heavy rain and floods to the Caribbean island, a record of two dead has been reported in Cuba’s capital, Havana.
The heavy rain in the area will last until Saturday afternoon, said the Cuban weather service, bringing more than 20cm (8in) of rain to some places. The weather which has affected the most along with Havana is in Western and Central areas.

Following hurricane Agatha hit Mexico last Monday, killing nine people, it dumped heavy rain and triggered mudslides as it moved inland, leaving a death toll in its wake. As of Wednesday morning, at least 11 people have been killed as a result of Agatha’s passing, with 33 more missing.
