For the forthcoming ICC T20 World Cup 2022 in Australia, which will take place from October to November of this year, the New Zealand squad has unveiled their new shirt.
The New Zealand Cricket (NZC) announced the unveiling of the jersey on social media.
Popular Kiwi athletes Devon Conway, Daryl Mitchell, Martin Guptill, Lockie Ferguson, and Trent Boult participated in a photo shoot to accomplish this.

The retro-styled shirt is a mashup of shirts seen on the side in the early 1990s. It is a fresh design that combines the grey of tradition with the black of the Kiwis. In the 1990s, grey was a colour that was frequently seen on New Zealand’s uniforms. The Southern Cross is utilised on the jersey as a reference to New Zealand and replaces the fern as the main graphic.
Martin Guptill is scheduled to make a record-breaking seventh appearance at the ICC T20 World Cup 2022, which was previously revealed by New Zealand earlier on September 20. On Saturday, October 22, the Kiwis are scheduled to face Australia at the SCG to begin their T20 World Cup campaign.
Thereafter, they will play Afghanistan, England, and two qualifiers at the MCG, SCG, and Gabba, respectively. Within the Super 12 phase, they are all a part of Group 1. In the 2021 tournament, New Zealand finished second after losing to Australia in the championship match.
Kane Williamson (captain), Finn Allen, Trent Boult, Michael Bracewell, Mark Chapman, Devon Conway (wk), Lockie Ferguson, Martin Guptill, Adam Milne, Daryl Mitchell, Jimmy Neesham, Glenn Phillips, Mitchell Santner, Ish Sodhi, and Tim Southee are the members of the BLACKCAPS squad for the ICC T20 World Cup.
