In Meghalaya, a Man Brutally Beaten Goes Into Coma; No Arrests Yet

A 38-year-old man has been reported to have gone into coma after being assaulted by unknown miscreants outside his shop in Meghalaya’s Mawpun Nongstoin market on Wednesday. The sufferer was taken to Nongstoin Civil Hospital, but he was later referred to Shillong for treatment.

When Nongstoin police received the information, they launched an investigation. According to a statement, the victim has been referred to Shillong for further care.

Meanwhile, no progress has been made in the case of a 38-year-old man who was assaulted and is now in coma.

On Wednesday, unknown miscreants assaulted the victim, Shaibandon Nongrum, outside his shop in Mawpun Nongstoin market. The assault case has two suspects, according to police sources. One of them has fled his Mawkhlam home, and the police are pursuing him according to reports.
