Indian captain Rohit Sharma suffers a forearm injury while practising at the nets

The Indian team was given a huge scare on Tuesday morning after captain Rohit Sharma received a heavy blow on his forearm during an optional session ahead of India's T20 World Cup semi-final against England on Thursday. At the Indian net session, Rohit was taking throwdowns from S Raghu when a short ball injured his right forearm, causing him to leave the nets immediately.

Rohit attempted a short arm pull, but throwdowns thrown at 150+ mph from 18 yards piled on him, and he missed the shot by a single second. He left the practise, and a large ice pack was strapped to his right arm, but he appeared desolate and in severe agony even while sitting on the ice box and observing the exercise from a distance. Paddy Upton, a mental conditioning coach, was seen chatting to him for quite some time. With only 48 hours till the game, the Indian medical team will do everything possible to get him on the field, unless there is a fracture that would keep him out of the starting XI.
