Kajol, AR Rahman, Rana Daggubati and Karan Johar will appear in the Discovery series “The Journey of India”

Kajol, Karan Johar, Rana Daggubati, and AR Rahman are among the Indian film industry notables who will appear in the Warner Bros. Discovery series The Journey Of India. The six-episode new series commemorates 75 years of Indian independence.

Amitabh Bachchan will serve as the show’s host, and each episode will highlight a notable voice to highlight a significant issue in India’s progress as a country.

Actress Kajol said she is honoured to be engaged with a programme that shows the rich heritage of Indian cinema. The actor will transport viewers to Bollywood’s tradition against the backdrop of an authentic film set in motion.

Bollywood is a mystifying phenomenon that brilliantly combines India’s ardent spirit of invention, inventiveness, and artistic sensibility. The actor added in a statement, “I’m honoured to be the one delivering to the audiences a presentation that highlights the rich heritage of Indian cinema, which has for millennia catered to the interests of a varied variety of fans.

Actor Rana Daggubati, a conservationist, and Latika Nath, an author and animal conservator from India, will honour India for its outstanding conservation and sustainability programmes.

Famous Indian author Amish Tripathi will honour the variety of religions in India, and Michelin-starred chef Vikas Khanna will examine the delectability of Indian food while tracing his own origins and examining how it has influenced other cuisines.

Director SS Rajamouli, veteran actor Hema Malini, businessman Anand Mahindra, famous chef Sanjeev Kapoor, banker Naina Lal Kidwai, environmental activist Vani Murthy, fashion designer Ritu Kumar, and renowned dietitian Rujuta Diwekar are just a few of the people who will contribute to it.
The Journey of India, a Black Iris production for Warner Bros., will debut on October 10 in 12 different languages, including English, Bengali, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, Assamese, Oriya, Marathi, Punjabi, and Gujarati, on discovery+ and Discovery’s network of channels in India.
