UP: Video of teen girl walking naked on road sparks controversy
Police have opened an investigation after a 15-second clip of a girl wandering naked along the street in Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, aroused uproar online on Wednesday. The girl is believed to have mental health issues, and despite the police registering a complaint in Moradabad alleging gang rape of the adolescent girl, they claimed they found no evidence of sexual assault during the child’s medical examination.
However, conflicting information regarding the incident started to surface. The episode became enmeshed in controversy as a result of the responses of several groups.
Swati Maliwal, the chairman of the Delhi Commission for Women, posted the video on social media and urged viewers to consider “how high the spirits of criminals” are in the nation if they are willing to force a girl to walk after raping her. Swati Maliwal tweeted in Hindi, “If strict measures are not implemented today, the situation will one day become out of control.”
According to reports, the incident happened on September 1 in a village near the Bhojpur police station. While the girl’s parents later denied any sexual assault during the recording of their testimonies before the magistrate, the police said they had initiated a FIR and arrested an accused based on a complaint filed by the girl’s uncle.
“The event happened around a week ago, and the suspect has been placed in judicial custody. A medical investigation of the woman revealed no evidence of the rape. The situation is still being looked into, “According to Shalabh Mathur, Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of the Moradabad range,
According to Hemant Kutiyal, SSP Moradabad, the girl’s parents claim she has had mental health issues since she was a young child, and no such occurrence took place.
A video of a girl strolling about naked on social media is reportedly going viral. The police filed a FIR after her uncle reported a sexual assault, using that information as justification. When her parents were interviewed afterwards, they denied that she had been sexually assaulted.
“Although no such incident has occurred, her parents claimed that their daughter has mental health issues and has done so since childhood. No sexual abuse was discovered during our investigation of her health “he said
