Early on Saturday, the Russian state news agency RIA claimed that a fuel tank on the Kerch bridge in Crimea was on fire, while the media in Ukraine reported an explosion.
According to early reports, a gasoline tank caught fire on one of the sections of the Crimean bridge, but the shipping arches were unharmed, according to a local official quoted by RIA.
The bridge’s traffic was halted.
According to Ukrainian media, a blast occurred on the bridge at six in the morning 6 am (0300 GMT).
The reports could not be independently confirmed by Reuters.
