Moments after Sena leader Sanjay Raut said his party was prepared to discuss leaving the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) if rebel lawmakers, led by Eknath Shinde, returned within the next 24 hours, allies of the Maharashtra ruling coalition reaffirmed their support for the Uddhav Thackeray-led Maharashtra government.
In a tweet, NCP leader Jayant Patil said his party would stand firmly by Thackeray till the end. “The Maha Vikas Aghadi is a government established for the development and welfare of Maharashtra. We will stand firmly with Uddhav Thackeray till the end,” he wrote in Marathi.

Nana Patole, the head of the Maharashtra Congress, declared that his party was prepared for a floor test and was working with the Shiv Sena to prevent the BJP from gaining power. He did, however, add that his party would not object if the Sena decided to team up with anyone.
Shinde, whose most recent actions have caused the MVA to fear for its very existence, has referred to the coalition as unnatural and claimed that Sena has been sacrificing its Hindutva beliefs in favour of power.
